Leah, the Maker

Leah’s journey to selling her handmade jewellery started over 10 years ago when she wanted to learn to make her own silver jewellery. So she enrolled in an evening class. Eventually she decided to take a year off her day job to study jewellery design and manufacturing full time at City Lit/Hatton Garden.

Leah tells us her creativity is inspired by her love of architecture and buildings and that she is always looking up! Unfortunately during the lock-downs at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, without the stimulation of seeing architecture she found that she lost her inspiration. However, despite this setback she decided to take the leap and take up her jewellery making full time in early 2022.

When she is not admiring Battersea Power station (her favourite piece of architecture) Leah likes to escape the city and head to the seaside.
