Katie Clement, the Maker

Katie has always been creative and after studying a degree in Printed Textile Design her day job is now as a Print Designer. Which compliments her illustration business perfectly.

Katie started her business in 2013 selling her illustrations on cards on Etsy, and since then her business has organically grown. Katie has ambitions to eventually focus on her illustration business full time, and she tells us she is on track to achieve this over the next couple of years.

For now, Katie’s set up is in a corner of her living room on the Royal Arsenal Estate in Woolwich. The living room is a beautiful space with lots and lots of house plants. You can catch a glimpse of it over on her TikTok Channel.

Katie provides bespoke illustration orders that range from House Portraits, Pet Portraits, Wedding Venue Portraits as well as other custom illustrated scenes. She tells us “Anything goes within reason and I'm always happy to discuss ideas to see if I can create a special piece for you.” Katie is also proud to be able to give a bit back to Charities with the sale of select collections from her work. In fact, right now she has two charity collections:

• Rainbow Edition skylines where £15 of sales go to Mind
• Ukraine Prints and Perfectly Imperfect London Landmark Jigsaw puzzles, where an extremely generous 70% of sales are donates to The British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal.

When Katie is not designing prints at work, or drawing in her living room she Katie tells us she is a lover of travel and food. Often exploring different cities where she finds so much inspiration. One day (perhaps when her business is full time) she has ambitions to start a Travel blog and share her adventures and tips with everyone- so make sure you are following her on her socials so you don’t miss out!
